As an Ohm is a means of measuring resistance, sub-ohm refers to resistance below 1.0 ohms. This would cause the coil to heat up faster, liquid vaporize quicker and produce larger clouds and more intense flavours. As expected, this would lead to a need for increased safety measures and can be dangerous, so should only be used by those experienced and knowledgeable with electrical safety.
